
Chair S3: Careers and mobility for an open European science landscape
Cecilia Cabello Valdes holds a Master’s degree in Science, Society and Technology Studies from the Madrid Autonomous University (Spain) and a Bachelors of Science in Food Science from Michigan State University (USA).
She has professional experience as coordinator and manager in several European Projects, and expertise in the areas of S&T policy, evaluation and indicators. Since 2002 she has worked at FECYT, directing and supervising various departments in the areas of Science & Society, R&I Indicators Policy Monitoring, Scientific Information & Infrastructures, Researcher careers and development.
Previously worked the CSIC (Spanish Research Council) and the European Commission Joint Research Centre IPTS (Institute for Prospective Technological Studies). Her experience includes active participation in European Research Framework Programs (7 FP and H2020) projects related to researchers careers and mobility, among others. She currently is member of the Bureau of the OECD NESTI (National Experts for S&T Indicators) and Chair of the ERAC Standing Working Group for Human Resources and Mobility SGHRM.
